Other Facilities

Meals

  • Our dieticians/ nutritionists are available to help you decide what is good for your health. Your diet is prepared in consultation with you and your doctor.
  • We do not allow food from outside, or home cooked food.
  • The last timing for placing any special requests for your meals would be 10:30 am for lunch and 5:30 pm for dinner.
  • The hospital kitchen provides vegetarian meals. Additional fruit juices and snacks may be provided through the cafeteria at extra cost.
  • It is also important that you eat the food served to you soon after the tray arrives. Trays that sit over long periods of time lose heat which decreases the quality of food. In addition, there is an increased risk of food borne illnesses.
  • Relatives are requested to utilize the cafeteria for all their food requirements. They can call room service on extn. no. 6725.

Blood Bank

  • It is better to use fresh blood for heart surgery because of which we request you to organize your own donors of the same blood group as the patient. They have to come to the hospital one day prior for donation. We do not advise blood relatives to donate for the patient as there is serious risk of adverse reaction.
  • Charges towards testing, cross matching, and material cost will be levied, irrespective of whether the blood is being used during the procedure or not.
  • No refunds will be given in case the blood has been brought from an outside blood bank.
  • Timing for Donors: 8.00 am to 12.00 pm. Kindly note, no certificate will be issued by the hospital for blood donation.
